Kurt Ritter was born in Switzerland in 1947. He was educated at Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland and completed the INSEAD Advanced Management Programme at Fontainebleau in France. He has been at the head of The Rezidor Hotel Group as President and CEO for more than 20 years. Highly acclaimed as the longest serving CEO in the hospitality industry, he has been with the company for 35 years.
Mr P. R. S. Oberoi is also the Chairman of Oberoi Hotels Private Limited, the major shareholder of EIH Limited. In addition to providing leadership for the management of luxury hotels in several countries, he has been instrumental in pioneering the development of the new Oberoi Hotels and Resorts.
Katie Taylor, Four Seasons’ top executive, began her illustrious career with the company in 1989, having completed a law degree and MBA. Working up through corporate planning and development, she became President, Worldwide Business Operations in 1999, and was made President and Chief Operating Officer in 2007, one of her proudest professional achievements, along with jump-starting Four Seasons into the Asian market.
Eric A Danziger is responsible for the operation, growth, performance and strategic direction of Wyndham Hotel Group. A hotel industry veteran, he joined the company in late 2008 after serving in executive roles for Carlson Hotels Worldwide, Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Doubletree Hotels and the former Wyndham International.
Ian Carter was appointed president of global operations for Hilton Worldwide in early 2008, having previously held the position of chief executive of Hilton International for three years. Prior to joining Hilton, he was an officer and president of Black & Decker Corporation, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Frits van Paaschen joined Starwood Hotels & Resorts as CEO in September 2007. Previously, he was president and CEO of Coors Brewing Company, a position he took up in March 2005, and before that he spent seven years, from 2000 to 2004, at Nike, most recently as corporate vice president/ general manager, Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Alan Parker was appointed CEO of Whitbread PLC in June 2004, after 12 years as managing director of Whitbread Hotel Company and a member of the Whitbread PLC Board since 2000. Alan is a director and ex-chairman of the British Hospitality Association, a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality, an executive committee member of the World Travel and Tourism Council and non-executive director of Jumeirah Group LLC.
Andrew Cosslett has been CEO of IHG since February 2005. He joined from Cadbury Schweppes, where he spent 14 years in marketing and general management occupying a variety of roles, including chairman of Cadbury Schweppes Australia, CEO of the Asia Pacific confectionery business, managing director of Great Britain and Ireland and President of Europe Middle East and Africa.
